For online stores · Black Friday is November 27
Is your store AI Shopper Ready
before Black Friday?
Shoppers are asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity what to buy. Adobe measured AI-referred retail traffic up 693% in holiday 2025, and it has converted better than other traffic every month since. Most stores have never checked whether an AI can read a product page. We check, and we fix what it cannot read, before your November freeze.
The free check reads one of your product pages the way a crawler does, with no JavaScript, and shows seven store-specific rows. No signup, nothing to install.
What "AI Shopper Ready" means, in plain words
An AI agent can fetch your store, read your prices and stock without running JavaScript, find a product feed, and settle a returns or shipping question without a human. That is it.
What is real
AI shopping discovery is growing every month. Adobe: AI visitors converted 38% better than other visitors on Black Friday 2025. Shopify turned on AI sales channels for every US store in March 2026. OpenAI says a store that blocks its search crawler is not shown in ChatGPT shopping answers.
What is not
Buying inside the chat. OpenAI retired in-chat checkout in March 2026. Google's checkout inside AI Mode is invite-only. Three checkout protocols are competing and none has won. We do not build to one, and we do not sell a revenue promise. Ready means readable.
The seven things we check on a store
All seven are on the free check today when you pick "Online store". They add rows to your report and never change the score.
The shopping crawlers are allowed in. OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, in robots.txt and at the firewall. We can open a product page as a crawler. Not the homepage, a product page, because that is where an AI shopper lands.
Price, currency and stock are declared as data in Product and Offer markup. The price is in the HTML, not only in JavaScript. Headless themes fail this on every product, and big brands are failing it today.
Returns are declared as data. Shipping is declared as data. "Can I return it" and "what does shipping cost" are the two questions an agent has to answer before it can recommend you.
A product catalog is reachable. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Microsoft all take a feed in Google Merchant Center format, and Shopify publishes one for you. A feed is how your price and stock stay right between crawls.
What we do about it
Same path as every other client. Start small, pay for the next step only if the last one earned it.
Store check
Run it now. Seven store rows plus the 29 general checks, with the fix for each as text you can paste.
Retail Setup
We do the free check's fixes on your store: crawlers allowed at robots.txt and the firewall, sitemap, Shopify AI channels and Knowledge Base filled in, returns and shipping pages with the data behind them. Before-and-after score. 3 business days. Last start October 28.
Shelf Check
The Snapshot for stores. ~25 shopper questions across your categories, Claude and Perplexity by API, five runs each, ChatGPT by hand. Ten product pages read with no JavaScript. One sentence that says where an agent stops. Who is named instead. Top-10 fixes. 30-minute readout. 3 business days.
Fix Sprint
The top ten, done, on your platform. Product data, feed, policy pages, crawler settings. The Shelf Check fee credits 100% for 60 days, so you pay $1,750. 10 business days. Last start October 19.
Then Care watches the store through Cyber Week: $200 per month, re-checked weekly from November 1 to December 31 instead of monthly, with a note the same day if a crawler gets blocked or product data breaks during your freeze. Three months minimum, through January.
The calendar, working back from the freeze
Before October 19
Everything is on the table: Setup, Shelf Check, Fix Sprint. A Sprint started by October 19 ships before a November 1 freeze.
October 19 to October 28
Setup and the Shelf Check only. The Shelf Check fix list waits for January, and we say so up front.
November
Care only. Weekly re-checks through Cyber Monday, November 30. No site changes we did not agree before your freeze.
December and January
What the AI shoppers did, from your own analytics where you allow it. Then the January Sprint for anyone who wants the fix list done before spring.
Who it is for
Good fit
Direct-to-consumer stores on Shopify, WooCommerce or BigCommerce with 50 or more products, selling things people genuinely ask an AI to compare: gear, supplements, coffee, apparel, hobby equipment, pet, home. You own the storefront and can hand us a collaborator login.
Not a fit
Amazon-only or Etsy-only sellers, because the marketplace owns the surface · under 50 products, because there is not enough to measure · stores that need a rebuild to put a price in the HTML, which we spec and refer out rather than sell.
Common questions
Does this get my products sold inside ChatGPT?
No, and nobody can sell you that today. OpenAI retired in-chat checkout in March 2026. Google's checkout inside AI Mode is open to a short list of invited merchants. What is real, and growing every month, is discovery: a shopper asks an AI what to buy, the AI reads stores it can reach, and sends the shopper to one. Ready means the AI can read yours. That is the whole promise, and it is the honest one.
Which AI shopping systems does this cover?
ChatGPT shopping, Perplexity shopping, Google AI Mode and Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Amazon's shop-direct program all read the same things: your product pages without JavaScript, Product and Offer data, a product feed in Google Merchant Center format, and your returns and shipping terms. We check those. We do not build to any one company's checkout protocol, because three are competing and none has won.
My store is on Shopify. Is this not already handled?
Partly. Shopify turned on its AI sales channels for US stores in March 2026, and the catalog side is good. What Shopify does not do is put a price in the HTML of a headless theme, fill in the Knowledge Base, add returns and shipping data, or notice that your firewall is turning the shopping crawlers away. Big Shopify brands fail the free check on those rows today. Run it and see.
What if my store is a JavaScript app and the price is not in the HTML?
Then the fix is a developer job, and we say so on the call instead of selling you a Sprint that cannot finish it. We write the one-page spec for your developer and check the result when it ships. We do not rebuild storefronts.
How late can I start and still be ready for Black Friday?
The Fix Sprint takes ten business days, so the last start date is October 19. Retail Setup takes three business days, last start October 28. After that we will still run the Shelf Check and set up Care, but we will not promise site changes inside your freeze.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Nobody can guarantee what a generative answer says, and every credible buyer guide lists guaranteed placement as the first red flag. We sell a measurement, a fix list, and the work of doing the fixes.
I have more than one website. Does the price cover all of them?
No. Every price on this site is for one website at one domain. That includes its www and non-www forms and any old domains that only redirect to it. A second brand site, a second country site, or a separate site on a subdomain, like a shop or a blog built on its own platform, is a second domain and is priced separately. If you have several, tell us on the call. We quote the set in writing, and the per-site price comes down as the count goes up.
Where the numbers come from
Adobe Analytics holiday 2025 report (AI-referred retail traffic +693%, Black Friday conversion +38%) and Adobe's July 2026 update (AI traffic up 62% year over year, converting 60% better). Shopify's March 24, 2026 announcement of AI sales channels for all US stores. OpenAI's crawler documentation on OAI-SearchBot. Digital Commerce 360, March 2026, on the end of in-chat checkout. None of these are our numbers, and we will show you the pages on the call.
