The short version
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA on every page of this site. We are not going to claim we are finished, because sites drift. If something here does not work for you, write to hello@buyermining.com and we will answer within five business days and tell you what we are doing about it.
What is in place
- A Reading menu on every page. Top right in the header, and it follows you down the page once the header scrolls away. It offers a light theme, three text sizes, and an easier-type setting with heavier letters and more space between lines. Your choice is remembered in your own browser.
- Contrast. Every text colour in the palette was measured against its background and corrected where it fell short of the 4.5 to 1 ratio AA asks for. Three colours failed that test and were changed.
- Keyboard. Every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, focus is always visible, and a "Skip to content" link is the first thing in the tab order so you do not have to walk the whole header on every page.
- The free AI Readability Check announces itself. When you start a check and when the result arrives, a screen reader is told, and focus moves to the result rather than leaving you to go hunting.
- Motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, the site stops animating.
- Structure. One h1 per page, headings in order, real landmarks, and text that reflows down to a 320px screen without a horizontal scrollbar.
What is not right yet
Listing the gaps is more useful than a badge, so here they are.
- The free check's result includes a wide table of AI crawlers. It scrolls sideways inside its own box on a narrow screen, which works but is not pleasant. A stacked layout is the better answer and is not built.
- The site has not been tested end to end with a screen reader by a person who uses one daily. It has been checked with keyboard only, and the markup was written for assistive software, but that is not the same thing and we are not going to pretend it is.
- Dark is the default theme. That is a deliberate design choice rather than an accessibility one, and for some readers it is the harder direction. Light is one click away in the Reading menu, but it is not the default and it does not follow your operating system setting yet.
- This page covers the website. The reports we deliver to clients are a separate document and have not been through the same review. If you need a report in a particular format, say so when you order and we will produce it.
Telling us about a problem
Email hello@buyermining.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Your browser and any assistive software you use helps but is not required. We answer within five business days. If a fix is quick we do it and tell you; if it is not, we tell you when it is scheduled.
How this was assessed
Self-assessed by Buyer Mining LLC, a Colorado limited liability company, using a measured contrast audit of every colour pair in the palette and keyboard-only walkthroughs of every page. No third-party audit has been commissioned. When one is, this page says so and names who did it.
